We made it home that evening in time to catch the night bus to Hue. We bought an open bus ticket for $20 dollars that allows us to get on and off the bus as we travel down Vietnam. We were the last stop to be picked up, so the bus was almost completely full when we got on. I sat next to a girl from Georgia. She was only the second tourist we had met from the States. I tried to sleep, but the ride was pretty uncomfortable. The guy behind me kept trying to sleep with his head against my headrest, and his hands would dangle over my seat and hit me on the head. Some other guys laid in the aisle, and one time I woke up with my legs resting on top of them. Jeremy also had a French girl with very little clothing sleeping on him. Part way through the night our driver stopped for a bathroom break. Half of the bus got out. After a couple of minutes the driver left without the passengers. Everyone on the bus was confused, and we weren’t sure what to do. Apparently the bus had a flat tire, and 30 minutes after we fixed it, we went back to pick up the others. Were not sure what they were thinking while we were gone.
