We had a 26 hour bus ride from Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh. We tried to entertain ourselves by making our own travel games. We played Risk and Battleship. When we finally arrived in Ho Chi Minh, a guy told us that we had a cheap hostel for us. Then he took us through some back alleys where Vietnamese families were living and showed us some rooms in their homes. The rooms were cheap and we thought it might be a fun experience, but we weren’t sure that our stuff would be safe during the day. We decided that we could pay seven dollars for a hostel that appeared to be a little safer.
