Cu Chi Tunnels

Ho Chi Minh is so crowded. There are 3 million motor bikes in the city, and they have 150 deaths reported each month due to auto accidents. We try to be careful as we cross the street. Today we went to the Cu Chi Tunnels where the Viet Cong hid during the war. It always amazes me that they actually lived in the tunnels. We could barely handle crawling through a small section for a few minutes. They start the tour with a video about the Cu Chi region, and they talk about the American killer heroes. As we walked around the jungle region and looked at the various traps that were used against the Americans, it is definitely easy to see why the Viet Cong were so difficult to defeat. After we returned from the tunnels, we went to the market and bought some snacks for our two day excursion on the Mekong Delta. We got some delicious banana chips, cashews and peanuts. Jeremy decided that it was time to buy some new clothes since he had sweated enough in his old ones. He thinks something has happened to his pores out here because he normally doesn’t sweat this much
