On Sunday morning we went to a small branch in Phnom Penh for church. The missionaries and a returned sister missionary translated the meeting for us. During the meeting one of the ladies talked about Enrichment. She kind of chastised the ladies that had missed their latest activity, which was learning to make foreign foods. Whitney and I thought if we had arrived a few days earlier, it would have been fun to help them learn to make foreign foods (not that we are experts on foreign cooking, but Whitney said she is confident in her ability to show them how to make macaroni and cheese). After Sacrament meeting they took us to the international branch, which was in English and had doubled its size this Sunday. There were several students from BYU Hawaii who have come to Cambodia to do social work projects. There were also three other students from BYU who came out to work on some projects. It will be fun to have other foreigners out here with us this summer. All of the students are staying in the nice area of Phnom Penh, but they are paying a lot more for their hotel, and we don’t think they are really getting the true Cambodian experience.
